- Karamo Brown skipped several group interviews with the rest of the Queer Eye Fab Five out of a fear of being “mentally and emotionally abused.”
- Drama has surfaced between Karamo and the rest of the cast after they allegedly gossiped about him on a hot mic.
- Bobby Berk, who left the show after eight seasons, is breaking his silence on the drama, admitting that he “dodged a bullet” with his exit.
Bobby Berk has officially broken his silence on the recent behind-the-scenes drama between Karamo Brown and the rest of the Queer Eye Fab Five. On March 4, Bobby joined Hoda and Jenna’s Talia Parkinson and Gavin Shulman during The Happy Hour on SiriusXM’s TODAY Show Radio, where he opened up about his feelings surrounding the situation.
When Talia asked him if he felt like he “dodged a bullet” by no longer being a cast member on the beloved Netflix reality show, Bobby playfully responded, “Girl, I mean, why’d you bring that up?”
Bobby, who now hosts HGTV’s Junk or Jackpot, explained, “It’s sad that clearly stuff was going on, but yeah, I decided to leave at a time that was right for me.”
He continued, “And, of course, I’m sad that there was any drama surrounding the show because the show, I think, has such a great legacy of helping people.”
Gavin then chimed in, saying that Today with Jenna & Sheinelle “was kind of involved in the drama” because Karamo had left a video message explaining his absence from a group interview with the other Fab Five members on January 20.
“Just like the themes of this season, I’m modeling what I believe is most important, which I want to remind you all, love yourselves and protect yourselves. That’s why I’m here at home and not there,” Karamo said at the time.
The former Queer Eye star then admitted that he had tuned in to the Fab Five’s season 10 press cycle, saying, “Oh, yeah. I was home in Portugal, but I was still watching that. I started getting texts and I’m like, ‘Oooohhhh.’”
Bobby, who served as the show’s interior design expert for its first eight seasons, left in 2024 after his own alleged rift with Tan France. He subtly weighed in on the current beef between the cast on January 21 while promoting his new HGTV projects.
“How’s everyone’s week going?! Have you seen my new show ‘Junk or Jackpot?!’ on @hgtv, @hbomax and @discoveryplus?” he wrote in the caption of his post, which was set to Chappell Roan’s song “My Kink Is Karma” in a perfectly petty move.
Never change, Bobby!!
